The Fistral Beach Complex
Fistral Beach has been highly regarded as the home of British surfing due to its consistently world class waves and golden sands, not to mention the relaxed vibe of the locals.
At The Fistral Beach Complex as you head down to the beach you are greeted with the International Surfing Centre which plays host to a variety of businesses, where you can enjoy a beverage whilst browsing upon the stunning Cornish coastline or pick up a board and throw yourselves into the action.
The International Surfing Centre has evolved and grown into the complex that you see today, a hub of activity with fantastic food from the infamous chef Rick Stein to professional surf coaching from Fistral Beach Surf School and shopping at Fat Face.
Fistral has some of the most iconic and beautiful scenery in Cornwall that can be enjoyed by family and friends.
For those of you with pets you needn’t worry as Fistral beach is dog friendly.
Iconic for being the home of British Surfing, Fistral is located on the North Coast of Cornwall.
As a west facing beach Fistral enjoys consistent surf and uninterrupted sunsets.
With two headlands perfectly enclosing this large beach, you can enjoy water sports or exploring the beautiful coastline surrounding the beach.
The RNLI run a comprehensive lifeguard patrol at Fistral Beach.
They operate a 7 days a week service from 10am-6pm from 1st April-29th October, in November they operate a weekend patrol.
The RNLI lifeguards set up and monitor dedicated surfing and bathing areas on the beach, which are moved to the most suitable areas of the beach dependent on the conditions and tides.
Toilets & Showers
There is a toilet and shower area in the International Surfing Centre, which are open all year.
The hot showers are perfectly placed once you have enjoyed your dip in the atlantic and work with 50p tokens which can be purchased at the surf hire.
In the shower’s there is an area to get changed.
Free Key Holding Facilities
Fistral Beach Surf Hire is open throughout the year from 9am and looks after car keys free of charge, simply drop them off when you are heading in the water.
There is a beach wheelchair which is freely available to use on Fistral Beach.
